Reliance Industries has unveiled a new AI-powered smart home device called Jio TeleFrame, marking one of its major technology announcements at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The device is designed to function as a connected home assistant, powered by a suite of artificial intelligence agents that manage daily household tasks and interactions.
Announced by a senior executive during the AGM, Jio TeleFrame is part of a broader ecosystem of AI-driven products that also includes Jio Home and Jio Call Agent. The device is integrated into Reliance’s AI agent network and is designed to operate using inputs from cameras, microphones, and sensors, allowing it to interpret and respond to its surroundings in real time.
The company said the system is built to assist users in managing household functions such as entertainment, shopping, scheduling, and home environment control. It can reportedly regulate smart home devices including televisions, lighting, and temperature settings, while adapting to user preferences over time. Reliance emphasised that the system will function only with user permission, ensuring that actions are triggered based on consent and context.

Jio TeleFrame is also designed to support multiple Indian languages and is intended to be used across diverse households. According to the company, the AI agents embedded in the device can learn family routines and anticipate needs. For example, it may provide weather updates before school hours, generate reminders for appointments or medication, and assist in planning daily schedules.
The device also includes specialised “agents” for different household functions. A guest management feature can reportedly analyse conversations related to events and suggest menus based on past preferences, create shopping lists, and even facilitate grocery ordering. It can also track deliveries and notify users when items arrive. In entertainment scenarios, the system can adjust lighting and sound settings during sports broadcasts while displaying live scores on its screen.
Jio TeleFrame was introduced alongside other AI-focused initiatives, including network-integrated call assistance and large-scale computing investments aimed at expanding Reliance’s digital ecosystem. Industry observers note that these announcements signal a shift in the company’s valuation narrative from traditional telecom operations toward a broader AI and platform-driven technology business model.
