Amazon has officially announced that its annual shopping event, Amazon Prime Day 2026, will be held in India in July 2026, marking the tenth edition of the sale in the country. The event will be exclusive to Amazon Prime members and is expected to feature major discounts across categories such as electronics, fashion, beauty, kitchen essentials, and groceries. The company has positioned the sale as one of its biggest mid-year shopping events.
The sale will include a mix of new product launches, limited-time deals, and member-exclusive offers, continuing Amazon’s strategy of combining retail discounts with product debut events. According to the announcement, the event will also extend to several international markets, with different schedules across regions. While India, Australia, Brazil, and Japan will host the event in July, many European, Middle Eastern, and North American countries will see Prime Day in June.
In India, Amazon is expected to significantly expand its delivery capabilities during the sale period. The company has indicated that services such as same-day delivery, next-day delivery, and even four-hour delivery for select products will be available in supported cities. A quick-commerce initiative branded as Amazon Now will also support faster deliveries in select urban locations, aiming to handle increased demand during the shopping festival.

Banking partnerships are also expected to play a major role in boosting customer incentives. Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card users are confirmed to receive 5% cashback on all purchases during the sale. Additionally, shoppers may receive extra discounts and cashback offers of up to ₹200 on eligible transactions above specified purchase thresholds, depending on partner bank offers announced closer to the event.
The company has also outlined its membership pricing structure ahead of the event. Amazon Prime membership is currently priced at ₹299 per month, ₹599 per quarter, and ₹1,499 annually. Other plans include Prime Lite at ₹799 per year and Prime Shopping Edition at ₹399 annually. With these offerings, Amazon is expected to push wider adoption of its subscription ecosystem while leveraging Prime Day 2026 as a key driver for sales, memberships, and digital engagement across its platform.
