In a significant development ahead of Season 2 of the All Stars Tennis Ball Cricket League (ASTCL), TigerMonk Private Limited, a forward-thinking media tech company, has teamed up with acclaimed Indian actor, producer, and cricket aficionado Rohit Roy to co-own the Pune Falcons franchise.
Roy, who captained the team in Season 1, now assumes a dual role as captain and co-owner, injecting renewed enthusiasm, strategic vision, and star appeal into the outfit. This collaboration, announced in Pune, Maharashtra, aims to elevate the team's performance and blend entertainment with competitive cricket, setting the stage for an exciting season.
Rohit Roy shared his excitement, saying, “Last season, I led Pune Falcons with pride and passion. This season, I return not just as captain but as co-owner. Partnering with TigerMonk is a thrilling new chapter. We share a vision for performance, entertainment, and legacy... This is more than cricket—it’s a movement.” Adittya Ratthi, Managing Director of TigerMonk, echoed this sentiment: “We’re excited to co-own Pune Falcons alongside Rohit Roy... With this partnership, we’re not just investing in a team—we’re investing in a legacy.” ASTCL Founder and Curator Bunty Walia also welcomed the move, stating it will "elevate both the team and the league to new heights."
This ownership shift brings a mix of star power and innovative media expertise to Pune Falcons, with plans for player trials, high-stakes auctions, and entertainment-focused events at the core of ASTCL. The partnership promises to enhance the league's appeal, fostering a winning mindset and strategic depth for the upcoming season.
