Rishabh Pant acknowledged feeling the pressure of captaincy after Lucknow Super Giants suffered a narrow defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2026, admitting that some of his tactical decisions during the match did not work as planned.

The game, which ultimately went into a Super Over, saw Lucknow lose a closely fought contest after failing to capitalise on key moments. Pant, leading the side, faced scrutiny for a few on-field calls, including bowling changes and field placements, that were questioned by analysts after the match. Reflecting on the outcome, he conceded that the pressure of leadership can be demanding, especially in tight situations.
