India enjoyed a highly successful Day 12 at the 2026 Asian Games, winning four gold medals across archery and shooting while adding medals in boxing and wrestling. The women's hockey team also advanced to the final with a 2-0 semifinal victory over South Korea, while India's men's and women's squash teams secured places in the semifinals and assured themselves of medals.
India completed a sweep of the compound archery team events with two gold medals. Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep defeated China 238-234 in the women's final, before Kushal Dalal, Sahil Jadhav and Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru edged China 238-237 in the men's final.
Chikitha and Sahil then added another gold for India in the compound mixed team event. The Indian pair defeated South Korea in a shoot-off after the final ended 157-157. The victory also secured India's men's and women's quota places for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, where compound archery is set to make its Olympic debut.

Shooting contributed another gold as Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai won the mixed team trap title while setting a new Asian Games record. Dhanda had earlier claimed individual gold in the women's trap event, adding to India's strong performance in the shooting competition. In boxing, Lovlina Borgohain defeated Kazakhstan's Natalya Bogdanova 3-2 to reach the women's 75kg final, while Priya Ghanghas and Kapil Pokhariya won bronze after losing their respective semifinals.
Wrestler Sunil Kumar also secured a bronze medal in the men's Greco-Roman 87kg category after defeating the Philippines' Callum Johnston Roberts 9-0 by technical superiority. The result made him the first Indian Greco-Roman wrestler to win two Asian Games medals. Meanwhile, India's women's hockey team defeated five-time champions South Korea 2-0 to reach the final, where they will face China and aim for their first Asian Games women's hockey gold since 1982.
India's squash teams also secured medals after reaching the semifinals in their respective team events. The men's team defeated Kuwait 2-0, while the women's team recorded a 2-0 win over Singapore. India will face Malaysia in the men's semifinal and Hong Kong in the women's semifinal, with both teams assured of at least bronze medals. The day's results further strengthened India's medal campaign across multiple sports at the Asian Games.
