India will look to keep their T20I series hopes alive when they face England in the fourth match of the five-game series at the County Ground in Bristol on Thursday. Trailing 2-0 after three matches, India must secure a victory to remain in contention, while England will be aiming to seal the series with one game still to play.
The series began with the opening T20I at Chester-le-Street being washed out due to rain before England won the next two matches. The hosts first registered a four-wicket victory and then followed it up with a commanding 125-run win in Nottingham, leaving India under pressure ahead of the fourth encounter. India's batting struggled significantly in the previous match, collapsing for just 76 while chasing a target of 201.
India's batting lineup, featuring players such as captain Shreyas Iyer, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, will be expected to deliver a stronger performance. The selection of Sooryavanshi ahead of Sanju Samson has been one of the major talking points of the series, while the bowling attack will also need to improve after failing to consistently restrict England's aggressive batting lineup.

England have enjoyed strong performances from captain Harry Brook, Jos Buttler, Philip Salt and their pace attack. India's bowlers, including Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy and Arshdeep Singh, will be looking to make a greater impact after struggling to build sustained pressure in the opening matches. Ravi Bishnoi, who missed the third T20I following an expensive outing earlier in the series, remains another selection consideration.
The fourth T20 International will be played at the County Ground in Bristol on Thursday, July 9, with the match scheduled to begin at 10:00 p.m. IST. The contest will be broadcast live on the Sony Sports Network, while live streaming will be available for viewers in India through the JioHotstar app and website. With only two matches remaining in the series, the fourth T20I carries significant importance for both teams. India require a win to keep alive their chances of drawing the series, whereas England can secure an unassailable lead with another victory and complete a successful home campaign before the final match.
