Teenage Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi made his debut after joining City from Lille in a reported £86 million ($116 million) transfer earlier in the week. He was introduced in the closing stages as City comfortably controlled the match. Bouaddi's arrival and debut represent part of the club's broader effort to build a new generation of talent while maintaining its position among the Premier League's leading teams.

City had needed late goals from Marc Guehi and Josko Gvardiol to overturn a deficit against Bournemouth in their opening league match.
