Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar, has marked a significant achievement in his domestic career by claiming his 50th First-Class wicket. Playing as a fast-bowling all-rounder for Goa, he reached this milestone during a Ranji Trophy match against Maharashtra in the 2023 season. This feat highlights his growing prowess in red-ball cricket since switching from Mumbai to Goa ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Making his First-Class debut for Goa against Rajasthan, Arjun enjoyed a dream start by smashing a century with 120 runs off 207 balls. He has since established himself as a reliable performer, including a memorable five-wicket haul in Ranji Trophy action. Of his 50 wickets, an impressive 13 came in the ongoing season at the time of the milestone, showcasing his consistent contribution with the ball.
Despite this accomplishment, Arjun still trails his father Sachin in First-Class wickets. Sachin, primarily known as a batting maestro, took 71 First-Class wickets across his career. Arjun now needs 21 more wickets to surpass that tally, adding an intriguing layer of comparison between father and son in the longer format.

As Arjun continues to progress in domestic cricket, this 50-wicket landmark serves as a stepping stone toward greater heights. Fans watch eagerly to see how soon he closes the gap on his father’s record while building a legacy of his own.
