Uttar Pradesh's Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order, Amitabh Yash, disclosed that the infamous Goldy Brar gang orchestrated a brazen firing outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani's ancestral residence in Bareilly to instill widespread fear across the state. The early morning attack on September 12 at around 3:45 am involved two bike-borne assailants unleashing multiple rounds at the Civil Lines property, highlighting the escalating audacity of organized crime syndicates.

The swift response from law enforcement culminated in a high-stakes encounter on Wednesday in Ghaziabad, where the two prime suspects—Ravindra alias Kullu and Arun, operatives linked to Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara—were neutralized after sustaining injuries. "Ravindra and Arun were identified as the shooters, with two additional accomplices hired for reconnaissance.

The duo claimed responsibility on social media, but our joint operation with Delhi Police and UP STF ended their reign," ADG Yash told ANI. The accused were rushed to a hospital but succumbed to their wounds, with their bodies later taken for postmortem in Ghaziabad.

The confrontation was not without cost to the forces; a Haryana Police constable was shot in the chest during the exchange. Authorities recovered two sophisticated pistols and a cache of 9 mm cartridges from the scene, underscoring the firepower at the gang's disposal. ADG Yash emphasized the broader implications: "The gang's primary objective was to spread terror among Uttar Pradesh's populace. This decisive action reinforces our zero-tolerance stance, and we're probing the weapons' origins to dismantle supply chains."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reaffirmed the state's iron-fisted approach to crime, personally assuring Disha Patani's father, Jagdish Patani, of rigorous pursuit of justice and enhanced security measures. "The CM has mandated immediate legal action against fear-mongers, backed by exhaustive CCTV analysis, technical surveillance, and multi-level intelligence gathering," Yash added.

As investigations continue into the gang's full network, this incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against underworld elements threatening public safety.
