Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel received birthday greetings from several Union ministers on Wednesday, with leaders praising his administration, development initiatives and contribution to strengthening governance in the state. The ministers extended wishes for his good health, long life and continued public service, highlighting Gujarat’s progress under his leadership. Patel turned 64 on Wednesday and has been serving as the Chief Minister of Gujarat since September 2021.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated Patel and said his leadership had contributed to accelerating Gujarat’s growth while promoting good governance. Singh, in a message on social media platform X, praised the Chief Minister’s progressive vision and wished him many more years of dedicated service to the people of the state. Other Union ministers also shared similar messages, appreciating Patel’s focus on development and welfare-oriented governance.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said Gujarat was moving steadily on the path of development and creating new benchmarks in public welfare under Patel’s leadership. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted Gujarat’s achievements in development, governance and economic progress, describing Patel’s leadership as focused on prosperity and public service. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav also conveyed their wishes and prayed for Patel’s continued well-being.

Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil described Patel as a leader who has provided fresh momentum to Gujarat’s growth through simplicity, sensitivity and a development-focused approach. Heavy Industries and Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said Patel’s commitment to public service and inclusive development had strengthened the state’s growth journey. Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also extended his greetings and prayed for Patel’s health, success and a long public life.
The birthday messages followed earlier greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. Responding to the wishes, Patel reaffirmed Gujarat’s commitment to contributing towards the national goal of “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” under the Prime Minister’s leadership. He also marked the occasion by offering prayers at Dada Bhagwan Trimandir in Adalaj and participating virtually in religious ceremonies at the Somnath Temple, praying for the happiness, prosperity and overall development of Gujarat’s people.
Bhupendra Patel began his political career through local administration roles in Ahmedabad before becoming Chief Minister in 2021. He has represented the Ghatlodia Assembly constituency since 2017 and continued in office after the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victory in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections. His tenure has focused on infrastructure development, governance reforms and initiatives aimed at supporting economic growth in the state.
