Three people were killed and one critically injured after two motorcycles collided head-on on the Rani–Khimel road in Pali district on Friday night, police officials said. The fatal accident occurred near Pawan Vatika around 8:30 pm. Authorities noted that the collision was extremely severe. Both motorcycles were badly damaged in the crash. Police teams reached the scene soon after receiving the alert.
According to Station House Officer Arun Kumar, one motorcycle was carrying Ajay Mali and Ajay Meghwal, both 21-year-old residents of Rani. They were travelling towards Falna at the time of the accident. The second motorcycle had Prem Kumar (27) and Shravan Kumar (30), residents of Khimel. They were heading in the opposite direction towards Rani. The two vehicles collided head-on on the road.
The impact of the crash threw all four riders onto the road, causing severe injuries. Local residents quickly informed the police and emergency services. The victims were rushed to Rani Hospital by ambulance. However, doctors declared Prem Kumar, Shravan Kumar and Ajay Mali dead on arrival. The incident has shocked residents in the area.

Ajay Meghwal survived the crash but remains in critical condition. Doctors provided initial treatment at Rani Hospital before referring him to Pali for advanced care. Police said a local resident, Rohit Kumar, reportedly fainted after witnessing the horrific accident. Authorities are closely monitoring the injured victim’s condition. Further medical updates are awaited.
Police have preserved the bodies of the deceased in the mortuary at Rani Hospital. Postmortem examinations are scheduled to be conducted on Saturday. Investigators have begun probing the circumstances that led to the collision. Officials said factors such as speed and visibility will be examined. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
