Police in Telangana were left dealing with an unusual family dispute after a couple reportedly abandoned their two young daughters at a police station during a counselling session. The incident took place in Hyderabad, where officers had called the couple to help resolve ongoing domestic issues. The children were left frightened and crying after both parents walked away and reportedly did not respond to phone calls from authorities.
According to reports, Ravi Kumar, a shop owner, and Lalitha, a nursing student, had a love marriage around a decade ago. Over time, their relationship allegedly became strained, leading to frequent arguments and tension at home. Following repeated disputes, Lalitha had earlier approached police seeking help regarding domestic problems, after which officials arranged counselling sessions for both sides.
During the latest counselling meeting on April 28, matters reportedly worsened inside the station. Lalitha is said to have removed her mangalsutra and toe rings, placed them on the table, and declared that she no longer wished to continue the marriage or take responsibility for the children. She then walked out of the station, leaving officers surprised by the sudden move.

Soon after, Ravi Kumar also reportedly left the police station, resulting in both daughters being left behind without either parent present. Police then had to step in to calm the children and attempt to contact the couple. The unusual case has drawn attention online, with many expressing concern over the emotional distress caused to the children during the dispute.
