Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Friday that the people of Bihar have unequivocally rejected the notorious "jungle raj" era characterized by lawlessness and instability, choosing instead the transformative "vikas raj" of progress and infrastructure, as early counting trends revealed the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surging ahead with commanding leads in more than 180 of the state's 243 assembly constituencies.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Shinde, whose Shiv Sena faction forms a crucial pillar of the NDA in Maharashtra, extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting that their combined leadership has delivered a development model so compelling that it mirrored the NDA's recent landslide in Maharashtra, where women voters mobilized by the "laadki bahin" scheme played a decisive role in the victory.
Shinde highlighted the massive participation of women in Bihar's electoral process as a game-changer, noting that female electors, empowered by NDA welfare initiatives and security assurances, turned out in record numbers to bury the opposition's "jungle raj" narrative—a term repeatedly invoked by JD(U) and BJP leaders to critique the RJD's past governance—and cement a future rooted in economic growth, job creation, and social stability.

Maharashtra's other Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar of the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), joined the celebrations through a detailed post on X, praising Bihar's electorate for prioritizing good governance, administrative efficiency, and a forward-looking vision by overwhelmingly backing the NDA, while underscoring that the alliance's focus on inclusive policies has resonated deeply across urban and rural demographics alike.
As the BJP itself marched toward its highest-ever individual seat count with an outstanding strike rate, the Bihar verdict not only solidifies the NDA's iron grip on the Hindi heartland but also serves as a national blueprint, demonstrating that strategic alliances, women-centric schemes, and a relentless development narrative can dismantle even the most entrenched opposition strongholds with unprecedented electoral force.
