A video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi predicting the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) “biggest-ever victory” in Bihar has gone viral on social media, coinciding with the coalition’s sweeping lead in the 2025 Assembly election results. The video, recorded during one of his campaign rallies earlier this year, is being widely shared as the party inches towards breaking its own past record.
In the clip, PM Modi can be heard saying, “I am certain that the NDA will register its biggest-ever victory in Bihar this year. Prepare for a Vijayotsav on November 14.” His words have taken on new relevance as vote counting data shows the NDA on track for a historic win. With leads in 208 out of 243 constituencies as of 3:19 pm, the alliance has surpassed its 2010 record of 206 seats.
According to Election Commission data, the BJP is emerging as the single largest party with leads in 95 seats. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) follows with 84, while Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leads in 20 seats. Smaller allies — the Hindustani Awam Morcha and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha — are leading in several others, consolidating the NDA’s position as the dominant force in the state.

Political observers credit the alliance’s win to strong female voter participation and targeted welfare initiatives. Data shows women’s turnout at 71.78 percent, notably higher than the 62.98 percent recorded among men. The BJP’s recent direct cash transfer scheme, providing Rs 10,000 to 75 lakh women, is believed to have significantly shaped voter sentiment.
The Bihar victory is widely seen as a strategic boost for the BJP, particularly in the Hindi heartland where it has previously relied heavily on alliances. Analysts say the results may energize the party ahead of polls in key states like West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam next year. PM Modi is expected to address BJP workers this evening at the party’s headquarters in Delhi to celebrate what many describe as a defining moment in Bihar’s political landscape.
