India has issued a stark warning to Pakistan, saying that any misadventure or hostile action could prompt an “unmatched response,” a clear message amid wider regional tensions linked to the ongoing Iran war and evolving diplomatic dynamics. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conveyed the message during official remarks, signalling New Delhi’s vigilance on traditional security fronts even as regional geopolitics shift.

While India has maintained a largely neutral diplomatic stance on the Iran conflict — condemning strikes on sovereign territory and urging de‑escalation without directly aligning with either belligerent side — its focus has also turned inward to safeguarding national security and economic interests.
