A powerful bomb explosion in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district left one man critically injured on Sunday night, prompting a swift police response. The incident, which occurred in the Raninagar area, is believed to have happened during the production of crude bombs, according to local authorities.
A senior police officer revealed that four individuals were involved in assembling the explosives when one device detonated unexpectedly. "Our initial investigation shows they were making crude bombs, and one went off accidentally," the officer stated. The blast caused severe injuries to one of the individuals, who was immediately rushed to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital for treatment. His condition remains critical, and medical staff are closely monitoring his recovery.
Following the explosion, police detained three of the individuals involved for questioning.
