Authorities have launched a probe following a suspicious email received by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, warning of a potential security threat to the Ram Temple. A senior police official in Ayodhya confirmed the development on Monday, stating that the email, written in English, originated from an individual in Tamil Nadu. The message was reportedly received on the night between Sunday and Monday.
Details remain limited, with police withholding further information from the media. Neither the Ram Temple Trust nor security agencies have issued an official statement. The investigation is ongoing to assess the credibility of the threat and ensure the temple’s safety.
This incident follows heightened security measures in Ayodhya, especially after the temple’s consecration in January 2024, which drew millions of devotees. Earlier this year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Abdul Rehman in Faizabad for allegedly planning a grenade attack on the temple, highlighting ongoing security concerns. The temple, a significant religious and cultural landmark, remains under strict vigilance.

While the email has caused concern, authorities are taking no chances, given the temple’s prominence. Further updates are awaited as the probe progresses.
