India strongly condemned the killing of five journalists in Israeli airstrikes targeting Nasser hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, on Monday, describing the incident as “shocking and deeply regrettable.” The strikes, which claimed at least 20 lives, including the journalists, have drawn widespread international condemnation. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs, through spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, reiterated India’s firm stance against the loss of civilian lives in conflict zones, emphasizing the need for their protection.

Jaiswal noted that Israeli authorities have initiated an investigation into the strikes, which have sparked global outrage due to the targeting of a medical facility and media personnel.
