Preliminary findings indicate that the fire originated in an oil fryer located in the restaurant's kitchen. Staff members reportedly noticed the flames early and immediately activated the available fire-safety measures before firefighters arrived. Their quick action helped contain the blaze and prevented it from spreading to other sections of the restaurant or the building.
Fire officials said the restaurant was equipped with functional fire-safety systems, which played a crucial role in controlling the situation. The safety infrastructure, combined with the rapid intervention of the Delhi Fire Service, helped avert what could have become a much more serious accident in one of the capital's busiest commercial areas. Authorities are continuing to assess the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
An investigation is expected to determine the exact cause of the incident and whether all safety protocols were fully followed. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining fire-safety equipment and preparedness, particularly in high-rise commercial establishments and restaurants where kitchen-related fires pose a significant risk. Officials have not announced any disruption to the surrounding area, and further updates are awaited.
