Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Wednesday amplified Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s explosive “Haryana Files” allegations, accusing the BJP of “tampering with electoral rolls” and “stealing the mandate” through organised disenfranchisement disguised as the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive. In a strongly worded post on X, Stalin declared that the BJP’s 2024 victories in Haryana and recent Maharashtra trends were no longer credible, stating, “People have stopped believing in its divisive politics—now they are going beyond electoral malpractice to outright voter suppression.”
Stalin pointed to Rahul Gandhi’s press conference, where the Leader of Opposition presented documents claiming 25 lakh “fake” voters—many with identical photographs, including the now-infamous Brazilian stock image—were added to Haryana’s rolls post-2023 revision. “Bihar stands as proof, and so do the ‘explosive’ Haryana files,” Stalin wrote, referring to similar complaints of deleted Muslim and Dalit names in Seemanchal and Mahadalit bastis during Bihar’s ongoing voter list cleanup ahead of the 2025 Assembly polls.
The DMK supremo slammed the Election Commission for remaining silent despite “huge amounts of evidence”. “It is painful that an independent body has offered no explanation,” he said, questioning whether the ECI would “answer to the people and revive faith that democracy in India has not yet been fully buried.” Stalin’s intervention came hours after Bihar recorded a 54.23% turnout in Phase 1 amid opposition cries of deleted voters, and as Maharashtra gears up for November 20 polling under the same SIR cloud.

With the Brazilian model Larissa Bonesi’s viral denial still trending, Stalin’s statement has galvanised the INDIA bloc, prompting immediate echoes from Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, and Arvind Kejriwal. The Congress has announced nationwide protests on November 8 demanding an independent judicial probe into SIR manipulations across BJP-ruled states, turning Rahul Gandhi’s “Haryana Files” into the opposition’s biggest pre-2025 rallying cry.
