A bomb threat targeting the Panchkula court complex sent shockwaves through the city on Monday, prompting authorities to immediately evacuate staff and visitors. The threat, reportedly received via email, triggered a swift response from law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety.
Police deployed a bomb disposal squad and sniffer dog units to the site, while a significant police presence was established around the complex. Officials confirmed that a thorough search of all court premises is currently in progress to rule out any risk.
Authorities emphasized that the evacuation was precautionary and aimed at preventing any potential harm. "The safety of visitors, staff, and the judiciary is our top priority," a senior police officer said, adding that the search is being conducted meticulously.

This incident comes in the wake of similar bomb threat emails received in Haryana last month. Schools in Ambala were evacuated following threats, and an earlier email targeted the Ambala Deputy Commissioner’s office. No explosives or suspicious objects were found in any of these previous cases.
Officials cautioned the public against spreading unverified information and assured that those responsible for sending false threats will face strict legal action. The police are investigating the source of the email to identify the sender and prevent future incidents.
The Panchkula court complex remains on high alert, with security measures intensified until the threat is fully assessed. Citizens have been advised to cooperate with authorities and follow official instructions during the ongoing search operation.
