The third edition of Bharat Tex 2026 concluded on Friday with significant participation from global buyers, exhibitors, and industry leaders, generating investment commitments worth around Rs 14,300 crore. The four-day global textile trade fair attracted more than 1.15 lakh visitors and was hailed by participants as an important platform for showcasing India's growing textile capabilities.
Bharat Tex brought together stakeholders from across the textile value chain, including fibre producers, yarn manufacturers, fabric suppliers, apparel makers, and home furnishing companies. Bharat Tex Trade Federation chairperson Narain Goenkaji said the event successfully represented the entire industry ecosystem, from small businesses to large manufacturers involved in value-added textile products.
According to organisers, the exhibition witnessed participation from more than 1.15 lakh visitors, including over 11,000 buyers, nearly 6,000 of whom came from international markets. Buyers and delegates from 138 countries attended the event, while 1,617 exhibitors showcased their products, with nearly 70 per cent of them representing micro, small and medium enterprises.

The trade fair also recorded over 28,500 pre-confirmed business-to-business meetings and more than 100 government-to-government and business-to-government engagements. Around 905 first-time exporters participated in the event, highlighting the growing presence of emerging textile enterprises seeking opportunities in global markets. Organisers said 75 per cent of exhibitors were repeat participants, reflecting continued confidence in the platform.
International participants also highlighted the opportunities created through Bharat Tex. Fatih from Turkey-based Sanco Group said the company had agreed to invest $500 million in recycled materials in India, describing sustainable textiles as a major area of future growth. Other exhibitors noted that the event helped connect Indian manufacturers, artisans, and exporters with buyers from across Europe, the UK, Latin America, and other regions.
Bharat Tex Trade Federation co-chairperson Bhadrej Doriaji said the success of the event should be measured not only through numbers but also through the partnerships, ideas, and confidence built among global buyers and Indian businesses. The exhibition featured products ranging from recycled fibres to traditional crafts such as khadi, reinforcing India's ambition to strengthen its position in the global textile market.
