The Government of Andhra Pradesh signed seven key agreements at the AI Impact Summit, outlining an expansive roadmap to position the state as a national hub for artificial intelligence and quantum technologies. The pacts were formalised in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who underscored that the state’s AI vision is rooted in empowering students and building future-ready talent.
Among the most significant collaborations is a Letter of Intent with IBM to skill one lakh learners over the next three to five years in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. The partnership will provide access to IBM’s global digital learning platforms, enabling students to acquire industry-aligned skills and strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s emerging technology workforce pipeline.
The state also signed an agreement with the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) to establish a Centre of Excellence for AI and Quantum Computing at Amaravati Quantum Valley by 2026. With decades of experience serving UN entities worldwide, UNICC is expected to bring global best practices in secure and sovereign AI, positioning Amaravati as a digital hub aligned with international standards.

In higher education, Andhra Pradesh partnered with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) to set up its first deemed-to-be university campus in South India dedicated to AI and quantum education. The campus, supported by central funding and state-provided infrastructure, aims to become a national centre for emerging technology talent. Additional agreements with WISER and other institutions will further expand advanced skilling initiatives across universities.
The government also signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Technology Madras in partnership with Bodhan AI to introduce an AI Tutor system across government, aided, and private schools. Complementing this effort, a State-wide AI Tech Hub built with BharatGen and IBM will integrate Indian languages, sovereign GPUs, and indigenous AI models to enhance governance, agriculture, MSMEs, and public service delivery. Collectively, the initiatives signal Andhra Pradesh’s intent to embed artificial intelligence from classrooms to governance systems, shaping a comprehensive AI-driven ecosystem.
