The wife of an arrested employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has claimed that the case involving multiple FIRs against staff members stems from “a relationship gone wrong” and has unfairly impacted individuals not directly connected to the allegations. The incident relates to employees of a BPO unit in Nashik, where several staff members have been taken into custody.
According to the woman, her husband, a senior staffer, had no meaningful connection with the main accused, Danish Shaikh. She stated that their interaction was limited to basic pleasantries and insisted that multiple unrelated cases had been incorrectly grouped together. “They were not involved. Cases not linked to each other have been clubbed,” she said, defending her husband and others arrested in the case.
Authorities have registered a total of nine FIRs in connection with the matter, covering allegations ranging from sexual harassment to hurting religious sentiments and forced religious conversion. The first FIR, which includes a rape charge against Danish Shaikh, was filed at Deolali Police Station in Nashik on March 26. The case has since expanded, leading to the arrest of seven employees, while one woman staff member is reportedly absconding.
