In a remarkable display of efficiency, the Railway Police rescued a four-year-old girl abducted from Gurugram railway station within 50 hours, reuniting her with her family on September 19, 2025. The child, from a village in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, was kidnapped on September 16 after her father was drugged by an unknown suspect at the station.
Upon receiving the report, Superintendent of Police Nitika Gehlot swiftly mobilized 18 raiding parties, led by Faridabad DSP Rajesh Kumar. Each team, equipped with cyber experts and officers trained in CCTV analysis, meticulously reviewed footage from Gurugram to Anand Vihar railway station. The suspect’s image was widely circulated by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and police, amplifying the search efforts.
Teams were strategically deployed to potential escape routes in Rajasthan’s Kotputli and Alwar, as well as Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly and Pilibhit. The intense police activity forced the abductor to abandon the girl at Pilibhit railway station, where she was safely recovered. After a medical examination, the child was handed over to her overjoyed family, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police.
