A journalist was shot at in Siwan on Thursday and has been admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in critical condition, police officials said. According to preliminary information, the attack took place within Siwan district under circumstances that are still being investigated. The journalist sustained gunshot injuries and was initially provided emergency medical assistance before being referred to PMCH in Patna due to the severity of the wounds. Doctors said the victim remains under close observation, and their condition continues to be critical.

Senior officers have visited the site of the incident, and teams have been formed to collect forensic evidence and examine CCTV footage from nearby areas.
