The century-old villa in North Goa used as the Salgaonkar family home in the Hindi Drishyam films has become a tourist attraction ahead of the release of Drishyam: The Conclusion. Located in the village of Uccasim, the private property is now popularly known as the ‘Drishyam movie house’, drawing fans who visit the location and pose for photographs outside the house featured prominently in the film series.
The home serves as Vijay Salgaonkar’s residence in the Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran-led trilogy and features prominently throughout the story. It is the setting for several crucial events in the films, including the incident that changes the family’s lives and subsequent attempts to conceal the crime. The house returns again in Drishyam: The Conclusion, making it one of the most recognisable locations associated with the franchise.
Unlike a conventional film set, the property is a real residential villa with a simple design and Portuguese-style architectural elements. Its blue-and-white exterior, red roof, arched windows and surrounding greenery give it the appearance of a traditional Goan home. The property’s age, understated design and spacious surroundings have helped make it memorable to viewers across the three films.

Inside, the house has simple rooms, ageing furniture and multiple sections spread across the sprawling bungalow. A report based on a visit to the property described the interiors as having the lived-in character of a home occupied by generations of residents. The surrounding greenery and the staircase featured in several scenes are among the details that fans recognise from the movies.
The appearance of the house has also changed across the films. Its walls were painted a light yellow in the first instalment, while the property appeared in blue in Drishyam 2 and the final film. Despite these changes, the layout and distinctive features of the villa have remained closely associated with the Salgaonkar family home shown on screen.
The property remains privately owned, and reports indicate that a caretaker looks after it while entry inside the premises appears to be restricted. Another prominent Drishyam filming location in Goa is the Goa Police Headquarters in Panjim, which has also attracted attention from movie fans. With the third film bringing the Salgaonkar story back to cinemas, the North Goa villa has gained renewed attention as a real-world location closely connected with the popular franchise.
