Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is set to announce its financial results for the first quarter of FY27 on August 6, with investors expected to closely track the insurer's performance across key operational and financial metrics. Apart from headline earnings, market participants will focus on premium growth, profitability, solvency, persistency ratios, investment income and management's outlook for the remainder of the financial year. The company's Board of Directors will consider and approve the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
According to an exchange filing dated July 30, LIC's board meeting is scheduled for August 6, and the company is expected to announce its June-quarter earnings after market hours, following its usual practice. The board agenda does not include any proposal for an interim dividend, indicating that shareholders are unlikely to receive a dividend announcement alongside the quarterly results. The filing also does not mention any earnings conference call or investor interaction after the results are declared.
Investors will be closely watching several business indicators beyond the quarterly profit figures. These include growth in individual and group insurance premiums, trends in new business premiums, Value of New Business (VNB) margins, solvency and persistency ratios, investment income, asset quality and the insurer's Gross Non-Performing Asset (NPA) ratio. Management's commentary on demand across retail and group insurance segments, along with its outlook for FY27, will also be a key area of focus.
