Veteran actress Supriya Pathak recently spoke about her close relationship with Mira Rajput Kapoor, describing her as a cherished member of the family rather than just a daughter-in-law. In a recent interview, Supriya said Mira quickly blended into the household after her marriage to actor Shahid Kapoor, adding that she often jokes that Mira was the “missing child” of their family who finally found her way home.
Speaking about their bond, Supriya Pathak said Mira’s warm personality helped her become an integral part of the family from the beginning. She explained that Mira never felt like someone who had newly entered the household through marriage. Instead, she said the family always felt that Mira naturally belonged with them, which is why she never thought of her in the traditional role of a daughter-in-law.
Supriya also shared her joy about spending time with her grandchildren, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. She said their presence brings immense happiness to the family and adds warmth to their daily lives. According to Supriya, moments spent with the children make everything feel joyful and complete.

During the same conversation, Supriya’s daughter and actress Sanah Kapur also spoke about the bond between the family members. She mentioned that Misha Kapoor shares a special connection with Supriya Pathak and often enjoys chatting with her grandmother. Sanah said Misha frequently approaches Supriya to share stories and discuss what is happening in her life.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor has previously spoken about his approach to raising his children and ensuring they grow up with a sense of normalcy despite being part of a well-known film family. In an interview, Shahid said he and Mira try to keep their children’s upbringing as grounded as possible, avoiding unnecessary attention while answering their questions honestly as they grow older.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor married in 2015 and have since become one of Bollywood’s most talked-about couples. The pair welcomed their daughter Misha in 2016 and their son Zain in 2018.
