Suniel Shetty has finally addressed rumors surrounding his son Ahan Shetty’s alleged “high entourage costs,” calling the claims baseless and unfair. Speaking amid Ahan’s renewed visibility after Border 2, the veteran actor said the gossip harmed his son’s early career. He added that such narratives were selectively circulated to suit a producer’s convenience. According to Suniel, the rumours had no factual backing. He stressed that Ahan has always maintained discipline on film sets.
Ahan Shetty recently returned to the spotlight with Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh. In the war drama, he plays Lt Cdr Mahendra Singh Rawat alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film marks Ahan’s comeback after a long gap following his 2021 debut Tadap. During this period, speculation grew about his absence from new projects. One prominent claim linked his exit from Sanki to entourage-related expenses.
Dismissing the allegations, Suniel Shetty said Ahan has “never gone overboard” with entourage demands. In an interview, he stated that if any producer claims excessive spending, they should present actual bills. He made it clear that as a father, he would intervene if false stories were used to hide professional shortcomings. Suniel said spreading such rumours damages a young actor’s credibility. He firmly defended Ahan’s work ethic and professionalism.

Sharing his own principles, Suniel explained how he manages expenses on film sets. He said his team is instructed to bill any personal orders directly to him, not producers. This discipline, he noted, has been passed on to Ahan as well. Suniel emphasised that if Ahan chooses a personal entourage, he bears the cost himself. He insisted that neither he nor his son believes in burdening productions.
Putting an end to speculation, Suniel Shetty said Ahan is still settling into the industry and has no room for tantrums. He described this phase as crucial for learning and growth. The actor reiterated that claims about attitude or excess spending are completely untrue. Sanki, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, was reportedly stalled due to budget and market concerns. Suniel maintained that Ahan’s focus remains firmly on his craft.
