Siddhant Chaturvedi has been unveiled as the Legendary Filmmaker V. Shantaram in the first poster of the upcoming biopic V. Shantaram, leaving fans awestruck with his striking period transformation. Dressed in crisp traditional attire and a signature Nehru cap, the actor stands beside a vintage film camera under a dramatic eagle emblem, instantly evoking the grandeur of Indian cinema’s golden era.
The poster, released jointly by Siddhant and banner Camera Take Films, carries the powerful tagline “The Rebel Who Redefined Indian Cinema Is Back Where He Belongs — On the Big Screen.” The film chronicles the extraordinary seven-decade journey of Shantaram Rajaram Vankudre, the visionary who co-founded Prabhat Film Company and Rajkamal Kalamandir, directed India’s first Marathi talkie Ayodhyecha Raja, and gifted timeless classics like Do Aankhen Barah Haath, Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje and Navrang.
An overwhelmed Siddhant Chaturvedi described portraying the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner as “the greatest honour” of his career. “The more I discovered about his struggles and fearless innovation, the more humbled I felt. Stepping into his world has been my most transformative experience as an actor,” he stated, adding that Shantaram’s life taught him the true meaning of perseverance.

This poster is just a glimpse of the cinematic tribute we are creating,” he revealed.
Produced by Rahul Kiran Shantaram, Subhas Kale and Sarita Ashwin Varde under Rajkamal Entertainment, Camera Take Films and Roaring Rivers Productions, the biopic aims to celebrate one of Indian cinema’s most under-celebrated architects and reintroduce his revolutionary vision to a new generation.
