Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan sustained a minor back injury while shooting an intense action sequence for his upcoming film King, sources confirmed to India Today. The incident has pushed back the film’s production schedule, with filming now set to resume in September.
The injury, described as non-serious, prompted Shah Rukh to travel to the United States before settling in the UK, where he is recuperating alongside his family. A planned trip to Sri Lanka has been postponed to focus on his recovery. “SRK is doing well and taking it easy to ensure he’s fully fit,” a source close to the production shared.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is one of the most anticipated films of 2026, marking the theatrical debut of Shah Rukh’s daughter, Suhana Khan, following her role in Netflix’s The Archies. The star-studded cast includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor, and Abhay Verma, promising a gripping action-drama.
