Palash Muchhal, the Music Composer and fiancé of Indian Cricketer Smriti Mandhana, has been discharged from a Mumbai hospital where he received treatment for stress-related health issues. Muchhal was admitted to SRV Hospital in Goregaon after experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing, just days after the couple’s wedding was postponed indefinitely due to the sudden illness of Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana. Palash’s admission followed a transfer from a hospital in Sangli, Maharashtra.
The postponement of the wedding came amid a medical emergency for Shrinivas Mandhana, who had suffered heart-attack-like symptoms hours before the planned ceremony on November 23. Smriti’s family prioritized his safety and admitted him for observation. In the wake of these events, Palash reportedly faced significant emotional stress, which contributed to his own hospitalization. His mother shared that Palash was deeply affected by Shrinivas’s condition, leading to a decline in his health that required medical attention.
Despite the health scare, hospital sources confirmed that Palash has now recovered and is resting comfortably. His sister, singer Palak Muchhal, has called upon the media to respect their privacy during this sensitive time. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana has removed pre-wedding photos from her social media, retaining only earlier posts featuring Palash.

Shrinivas Mandhana was discharged from Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli on November 25 after tests showed no blockages and his condition stabilized. The family has not yet announced a new date for the wedding as they continue to focus on health and recovery. Both families have expressed hope for Smriti’s father’s continued improvement and conveyed gratitude for the overwhelming support they have received.
This incident highlights the emotional and physical toll that health emergencies can exert on families preparing for major life events, and the couple’s decision reflects their prioritization of family wellbeing amidst uncertain times.
