The horror thriller Obsession, directed by Curry Barker, continued its strong box office performance in India, delivering another impressive weekend in its second week. The film maintained steady momentum on Sunday, supported by sustained audience turnout across major urban centres and growing word-of-mouth interest. Its overall India net collection has now reached ₹36.1 crore, while the gross collection stands at ₹43.15 crore.
On its tenth day, Obsession earned ₹7.5 crore net in India, marking an 11.1% rise compared to its previous day’s earnings of ₹6.75 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film’s strong Sunday performance came from 2,788 shows nationwide and reflected continued audience engagement, particularly in evening and night screenings that contributed significantly to overall occupancy levels.
The film opened modestly on its first Friday with ₹1.75 crore but showed consistent growth over the opening weekend, collecting ₹2.75 crore on Saturday and ₹3.25 crore on Sunday. It ended its first week with a total of ₹18.55 crore, establishing a stable foundation before entering its second-week run.

During weekdays, Obsession maintained relatively steady collections in the ₹2–3 crore range, but the second weekend brought a noticeable surge. The film earned ₹3.30 crore on its second Friday, followed by a strong ₹6.75 crore on Saturday and ₹7.50 crore on Sunday, pushing its cumulative total beyond the ₹36 crore mark and reinforcing its upward trend.
Occupancy data highlights the film’s growing appeal, particularly in southern markets. The English version recorded an overall occupancy of 63.31% on Sunday, with strong performance during afternoon and evening shows. Hyderabad led regional performance with 86.3% occupancy, followed by Bengaluru at 84.3%, Kochi at 80.3%, and Chennai at 79.3%, indicating strong metro-city traction.
Despite expansion in screenings from 859 shows on opening day to 2,788 by Day 10, NCR reported the lowest occupancy among major centres at 39%, even with the highest number of shows. Directed by Curry Barker and featuring Cooper Tomlinson, Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, and Megan Lawless, the film follows a young man whose wish for love through a mysterious object unleashes unintended supernatural consequences, driving its horror-driven narrative.
