After the glittering Miss Universe 2025 pageant held in Thailand, Miss India Manika Vishwakarma, who secured a place among the top 30 contestants, took to social media to express gratitude to her supporters and share appreciation for fellow Rajasthani and Miss World 2025 representative, Nandini Gupta. Her heartfelt message, calling Gupta “our pride,” has resonated with fans online and further showcased the camaraderie among Indian beauty queens on the global stage.
The event, hosted at the Impact Challenger Hall in Nonthaburi, Thailand, crowned Fatima Bosch of Mexico as Miss Universe 2025. Bosch’s victory marked Mexico’s first win since Andrea Meza claimed the title in 2020. The top five list also featured Thailand’s Praveenar Singh, Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali, the Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo, and Côte d’Ivoire’s Olivia Yacé.
Manika Vishwakarma left a mark with her confident performance, elegant presence, and fashion choices throughout the competition. Her breathtaking national costume, inspired by the origins of Buddhism in India and designed in a gold sculptural theme, drew widespread admiration online. She also mesmerized audiences in a shimmering golden gown during the final ceremony, with Indian fans hailing her as one of the most graceful contestants of the year.

After the grand event, Manika shared several Instagram Stories reposting fan tributes and messages of praise. Reacting to Nandini Gupta’s post that read, “Manika Vishwakarma, you made all of us proud,” Manika replied, “Thank you. You are our pride. Rajasthani supremacy.” The exchange between the two pageant icons delighted fans celebrating the growing representation of Indian women from Rajasthan on international stages.
However, this year’s Miss Universe competition was not without controversy. Reports emerged of alleged tensions behind the scenes involving Thai organiser Nawat Itsaragrisil, who reportedly made disparaging remarks about the eventual winner from Mexico. The incident prompted several contestants to walk out and led to the resignation of two judges citing fairness concerns. Despite these issues, the 2025 edition of Miss Universe concluded on a high note, spotlighting diverse beauty, culture, and talent from across the globe.
