A heartwarming story about Salman Khan has gone viral after a fan shared how the superstar supported her during one of the most difficult phases of her life. Reena Raju, a three-time heart transplant survivor, recently recalled how Khan stood by her not just financially but emotionally through a long and encouraging phone call before her surgery.

Speaking on a podcast with RJ Sowjanya, Reena revealed that the actor had called her on the eve of her first heart transplant while he was shooting in Australia. According to her, the conversation lasted nearly two hours, during which Salman spoke to her and her family, offering reassurance and strength ahead of the life-altering procedure.

Reena expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, saying his words gave her courage to go through the surgery. She added that despite his busy schedule, Salman took the time to personally connect, leaving a lasting emotional impact. She also shared that she had messaged him about her health condition, and he responded despite receiving countless messages from fans.

After losing touch for nearly two years, Reena said she reconnected with the actor to inform him about her foundation, Light a Life. She was surprised to find that Salman still remembered her. In 2018, following her second transplant, she met him for the first time at his residence, Galaxy Apartments, where she spent the night celebrating with him.

Reena described the meeting as joyful and unforgettable, recalling how they sang and danced through the night. She also revealed that Salman later invited her to the sets of his film Race 3, where she spent an entire day with him. As a thoughtful gesture, he gifted her a white bicycle from his Being Human brand, remembering that she had once mentioned it to him.

On the professional front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The war drama, which features him as an Indian Army colonel, has had its release postponed, with a new date yet to be announced. He has also announced another action project with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju, marking a fresh collaboration in his upcoming slate.
