The Priyadarshan directorial began its theatrical run with an India net collection of Rs 3 crore on its opening day. However, the film could not sustain that level of business over the following days. It collected Rs 2.50 crore on Day 2 and Rs 1.85 crore on Day 3, taking its three-day domestic net total to Rs 7.35 crore. The addition of Rs 0.70 crore on the first Monday brought the India net figure to Rs 8.05 crore. The Day 4 collection is considerably lower than the opening-day figure, highlighting the challenge facing the film as it enters the rest of its first week. When the India gross and overseas gross figures are combined, the film’s worldwide gross collection currently stands at Rs 12.63 crore. The overseas business has therefore added to the film’s overall earnings, although its domestic performance remains the key area of concern after four days. The film’s worldwide total reflects the combined contribution from its Indian and international theatrical markets and gives a broader picture of its performance beyond the domestic net figure.
Haiwaan is the official Hindi remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam film Oppam.
