Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman is set to perform at the Attari Border on Sunday as part of a special tribute to personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF). The event, titled Jai Ho – A Tribute to the Bravehearts, has been organised by the team behind the upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga and aims to honour the dedication and sacrifices of India's border guards.
The programme is scheduled to take place between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm during the parade ceremony at JCP Stadium near the Attari border in Punjab. Rahman, who has composed the film's music, will lead the tribute performance dedicated to the men and women of the BSF who serve along India's frontiers. Organisers described the event as an expression of gratitude and respect for the force's commitment to national security.
Joining Rahman at the ceremony will be filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, actor Vedang Raina and several singers associated with the film, including Mohit Chauhan, Pooja Tiwari and Nargis. Representatives of the film's production partners, including Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment and producer Mohit Choudhary, are also expected to attend the event.

Main Vaapas Aaunga is a period drama set against the backdrop of the Partition of India. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari. The story centres on two lovers whose relationship is disrupted by the upheaval and violence surrounding the 1947 Partition.
Speaking previously about the project, Imtiaz Ali said he wanted to approach the subject from a unique perspective rather than simply recounting historical events. According to the filmmaker, the story explores the emotional and human consequences of Partition, focusing on what remains with individuals long after major historical events have unfolded.
The tribute at Attari comes ahead of the film's release and combines cinema, music and patriotism in a symbolic setting. With Rahman performing one of his most celebrated themes in honour of BSF personnel, the event is expected to draw significant attention from both film enthusiasts and members of the public attending the border ceremony.
