The trailer of ‘Good Bad Ugly’, one of Tamil cinema’s most anticipated films of 2025, is finally out—and it’s generating major buzz for more than just its action-packed visuals. The film brings together two beloved stars, Trisha Krishnan and Simran, on screen after 26 years.
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran and starring Ajith Kumar in the lead, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 10. The trailer features a blend of high-octane sequences, nostalgic nods to Ajith's previous hits, and most notably, the long-awaited reunion of Trisha and Simran.
For fans of Tamil cinema, this is a particularly nostalgic moment. Trisha made her acting debut in the 1999 film Jodi, which starred Simran and Prashanth. While Simran dominated the late '90s, Trisha rose to fame in the 2000s. Both continue to enjoy strong fan followings in 2025, making their reunion all the more exciting.
Interestingly, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ also marks Simran’s on-screen reunion with Ajith Kumar after 25 years. The two previously shared screen space in iconic films like ‘Aval Varuvala’ (1998), ‘Vaalee’ (1999), and ‘Unnai Kodu Ennai Tharuven’ (2000).
The film also features an ensemble cast including Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Shine Tom Chacko, Sunil, Rahul Dev, and Yogi Babu. Music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, with cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The project is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
Outside of this project, Simran will next be seen in Tourist Family, while Trisha is gearing up for major releases including Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara, and Suriya 45.
