Skoda Auto India will increase the prices of its vehicles by up to 1.2% from October 1, with the maximum increase capped at Rs 20,000 per vehicle. The company has attributed the upcoming revision to rising input and operational costs. The price increase will apply to the ex-showroom prices of Skoda models sold in India, although the exact increase will vary depending on the model and variant. Customers planning to purchase a Skoda vehicle may therefore see revised prices from the beginning of October.
Skoda currently sells the Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia and Kodiaq in India, alongside performance-focused models such as the Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS. The company has also expanded its portfolio with new variants and feature updates during 2026. These include the Sportline version of the Kylaq as well as the Classic+ and Prestige+ trims introduced across its range. The upcoming price revision is expected to cover the company’s India portfolio, with the final increase depending on the individual vehicle and variant.
The price hike comes as Skoda reports strong sales momentum in the Indian market. The company said it recorded its highest-ever first-half sales in 2026. By August, Skoda had sold more than 50,000 vehicles in India during the year, representing growth of over 8% compared with the corresponding period in 2025. The automaker has continued to expand its product range and retail presence as it seeks to build on the demand generated by its locally manufactured models.

Skoda’s recent sales performance has also been supported by the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia, which form an important part of its locally manufactured portfolio. The company sold 72,655 vehicles in India during 2025, which was its highest annual sales figure at the time. Skoda has also said that more than 250,000 locally manufactured vehicles have been sold during its recent growth phase. The Kylaq alone has crossed 75,000 units in sales since its introduction.
Alongside its product expansion, Skoda has continued to increase its presence across the country. The company now has more than 345 retail touchpoints spread across 193 cities in India. The wider network is intended to support sales and after-sales operations as the automaker expands its reach beyond major urban markets. The company’s recent additions to its portfolio, including new trims and variants, have also given customers more choices across different price and feature combinations.
The new prices will take effect from October 1, with the increase limited to a maximum of Rs 20,000 per vehicle despite the company announcing a revision of up to 1.2%. The actual impact on buyers will depend on the specific Skoda model and variant selected. The company has cited higher input and operational costs for the revision, making the price increase part of its broader response to changing costs while it continues to expand sales, its locally manufactured portfolio and its retail network in India.
