Hero MotoCorp made a striking impression at the 2025 EICMA trade show by unveiling two eye-catching models — the Hero Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition and the Hunk 440 SX. Designed to appeal to adventure enthusiasts and performance purists alike, the two motorcycles signify Hero’s growing global aspirations and its focus on developing machines that balance style, capability, and technology.
The Hero Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition stands out as a purpose-built off-roader inspired by the brand’s rally heritage. It features 280 mm of suspension travel at both ends — a considerable increase over the standard variant. The adjustable suspension not only enhances ride quality on rough terrain but also raises the ground clearance to an impressive 270 mm. While the seat height is expected to be higher than the standard 830 mm saddle, the Dakar Edition maintains an ergonomic setup suitable for demanding terrains. Power delivery remains familiar, coming from a 210 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 24 hp and 20 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slipper and assist clutch for smoother downshifts.
Complementing the Xpulse, the Hero Hunk 440 SX builds upon the foundation of the international Mavrick 440 but distinguishes itself with new aesthetic and functional upgrades. While the export-spec model sports a golden USD fork and TFT display, the India-focused Hunk 440 SX opts for a gaitered telescopic front fork. The motorcycle’s styling receives several dynamic touches such as a flyscreen, split seats, an upswept twin-port exhaust, an extended rear fender, and a redesigned tail light — all of which enhance its sporty streetfighter appeal.

Mechanically, the Hunk 440 SX introduces an electronic throttle system, paving the way for advanced features like multiple riding modes and traction control — a first for Hero’s 440 cc platform. Though the company has not revealed the full list of electronic aids yet, this advancement hints at a more premium, tech-loaded direction for Hero’s upcoming lineup. With its muscular stance, reinforced handlebar, and engine guard, the Hunk 440 SX seems well prepared for both urban commutes and spirited weekend rides.
By showcasing these two motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp underscores its intent to evolve beyond commuter-focused machines and compete in performance-oriented segments. The Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition embodies adventure and endurance, while the Hunk 440 SX highlights style and sophistication — together illustrating Hero’s renewed push toward innovation and global leadership in the mid-capacity motorcycle market.
