Chinese smartphone brand iQOO, part of the Vivo group, has partnered with seven of India’s leading e-sports gamers to certify and refine its latest devices, aiming to capitalize on the country’s surging gaming market. The collaboration, announced by CEO Nipun Marya, involves prominent online streamers—Dynamo Gaming, GamerFleet, Mortal, Payal Gaming, Scout, Shreeman Legend, and UnGraduate Gamer—who will test and provide feedback on iQOO smartphones, starting with the upcoming iQOO Neo 10R.
Set for launch on Tuesday, the Neo 10R boasts a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and a 6,400 mAh battery, designed for high-performance gaming and seamless live streaming. These gamers, known for their massive YouTube followings, will use iQOO devices as their primary tools for streaming, ensuring the phones meet the rigorous demands of both professional and casual players. “This partnership allows us to deliver a gaming experience built by gamers, for gamers,” Marya said, highlighting iQOO’s focus on tailored performance.
The move comes as India’s gaming industry is poised for explosive growth, with projections estimating a market value of USD 9.2 billion by FY’29. By aligning with top influencers in the e-sports ecosystem, iQOO aims to solidify its reputation as a go-to brand for gaming enthusiasts. The gamers’ input will shape future devices, ensuring they cater to the evolving needs of India’s burgeoning gaming community. With this strategic tie-up, iQOO is positioning itself as a key player in the intersection of technology and entertainment.
