Redmi has officially confirmed the launch timeline and key display specifications of its upcoming Redmi K90 Max smartphone, which is set to debut in China next week as part of the company’s expanding K90 series lineup.
According to the brand’s announcement on social media platform Weibo, the Redmi K90 Max will be launched on April 21 at 7:00 pm China time (4:30 pm IST). The device will join the existing Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max models, strengthening the company’s focus on high-performance, gaming-oriented smartphones in the premium mid-range segment.
The company has revealed that the Redmi K90 Max will feature a 6.83-inch M10 display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. It is also being promoted as a gaming-centric device, with claims of supporting 160fps gameplay in more than 40 titles, along with a 3,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 480Hz multi-finger touch response rate for improved responsiveness.

Redmi has further highlighted that the smartphone will come equipped with a dual-core air cooling system designed to enhance thermal management during intensive gaming sessions. The device is also confirmed to include a 1115x symmetrical stereo speaker setup tuned in collaboration with Bose, aiming to deliver an enhanced audio experience.
In terms of durability, the Redmi K90 Max is teased to feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, indicating strong resistance against dust and water exposure. The smartphone is also expected to support 100W fast wired charging and house a battery reportedly exceeding 8,000mAh, positioning it among the higher-capacity devices in its category.
The Redmi K90 Max is currently open for pre-reservations in China, with promotional offers including trade-in discounts of up to CNY 1,200 (approximately ₹12,000). While the company has not fully confirmed the processor, reports suggest it may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, further aligning it with its performance-focused positioning.
