Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has announced that the Redmi K100 will launch in China on October 27, 2026. The upcoming smartphone will become the third model in the Redmi K100 series, joining the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max, which were introduced earlier. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed the phone’s design, colour option and key display features. The handset is expected to appeal particularly to users interested in mobile gaming and high-performance smartphones.
The Redmi K100 will be unveiled at 7 pm China Standard Time on October 27, which corresponds to 4.30 pm Indian Standard Time. Official images reveal a flat rear panel with a horizontally positioned camera module near the top. The smartphone features a dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash, while the power button is positioned on the right side. The device also has a flat metal frame, giving it a straightforward design similar to other models in the series.
Redmi has revealed a Fluorescent Green colour option for the upcoming smartphone. The rear camera module carries the “Sound by Bose” branding, indicating that the handset will feature a Bose-tuned speaker system. The phone is also expected to have a USB Type-C port and a SIM tray along its bottom edge. Pre-reservations for the device have already begun in China, although the company has not yet announced its official retail price.

The Redmi K100 will feature a 6.83-inch flat display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. According to the company, the screen will support native 165-frames-per-second gaming across more than 40 games. A hole-punch cutout at the top of the display will accommodate the front-facing camera. The high refresh rate is designed to deliver smoother motion during gaming and scrolling, although the actual experience will depend on individual games and software optimisation.
The smartphone is expected to run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4, based on Android 17. Reports suggest that it could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and offer 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM alongside 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The handset may also feature a dedicated display or gaming chip and an improved cooling system to manage heat during demanding tasks. These hardware details should be distinguished from the specifications officially confirmed by Redmi ahead of the launch.
The Redmi K100 is expected to carry a starting price of approximately CNY 3,500 in China, equivalent to around Rs 50,000, according to earlier reports. However, this price has not been officially confirmed, and details about availability outside China remain unclear. The October 27 launch is expected to provide further information about the smartphone’s complete specifications, pricing and sales schedule.
