Poco has revealed additional specifications of the upcoming Poco M8 Power ahead of its official launch in India on August 4. The smartphone, which will join the Poco M8 lineup, is set to feature a large battery, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 4 series chipset and an AMOLED display with a high refresh rate. The device will be available for purchase through Flipkart and is expected to launch in at least an orange colour option.

According to the updated product microsite, the Poco M8 Power will be powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, built on a 4nm fabrication process. Poco claims the chipset has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 6,30,000 points. The smartphone will come with 8GB of RAM and support virtual RAM expansion of up to an additional 8GB. It will also feature a vapour chamber cooling system with a 10,416 sq mm graphite heat dissipation area, which the company says will help deliver a lag-free experience for up to 48 months.

The handset will sport a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Other display features include 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits, 960Hz PWM plus DC dimming, adaptive colour temperature and OTT-optimised tuning. Poco has also confirmed an in-display fingerprint scanner, along with TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection, Low Blue Light and Circadian Friendly certifications. The display will support Wet Touch 2.0 technology, allowing improved responsiveness even when the screen or fingers are wet.

The Poco M8 Power will be backed by a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse wired charging. According to the company, the battery can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge. Poco claims users can expect up to 28 hours of video playback, 31 hours of social media usage, 14 hours of gaming, 11 hours of navigation or up to 38 hours of standby time, depending on usage conditions.

The smartphone is scheduled to launch in India on August 4 at 12 pm IST. In addition to the large battery and Snapdragon chipset, the Poco M8 Power is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash. More details, including pricing, storage variants and complete camera specifications, are likely to be announced during the official launch event.
