Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to launch with at least one of three new premium colors: burgundy, coffee, or purple, according to leaker Instant Digital on Weibo. Burgundy and coffee will be entirely new to the iPhone lineup, while purple evolves from past lavender shades seen in models like the iPhone 14 Pro. The coffee variant is expected to be a deeper take on the iPhone 16 Pro’s Desert Titanium finish. Apple will reportedly skip black once again, continuing its shift toward warmer, distinctive tones for the Pro series.
The device is anticipated to feature a 6.26-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and HIAA technology for minimal bezels. Under-display Face ID will leave only a front camera punch-hole visible. Powered by the A20 chip on TSMC’s 2nm process, it promises enhanced efficiency and thermal control via a wafer-level multi-chip module (WMCM) design. This architecture reduces power draw, especially for Apple Intelligence features, ensuring smoother performance.
Additional upgrades include a partially transparent ceramic shield over the MagSafe area, revealing the charging coil, and the C2 modem for faster 5G/6G connectivity. A refined Camera Control button and potential variable aperture lens on the Pro Max further elevate photography capabilities. These advancements position the iPhone 18 Pro as a refined yet powerful evolution in Apple’s flagship lineup.

The iPhone 18 series will follow a phased launch. The Pro models, second-gen iPhone Air, and first iPhone Fold are expected in fall 2026, likely September. The base iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e may arrive in spring 2027. Some reports suggest Apple could skip the standard model entirely, reserving an “iPhone 20” for the brand’s 20th anniversary.
With innovative colors, cutting-edge display tech, and next-gen processing, the iPhone 18 Pro aims to set a new standard in premium smartphones when it launches in 2026.
