Oura has launched its Oura Ring 5 smart ring in India, expanding its wearable technology lineup with a slimmer design, updated sensors and additional health-monitoring features. Announced on October 22, 2026, the device is designed to track sleep, activity, heart rate and recovery without requiring users to wear a smartwatch. The company says the new model has 40% less volume than its predecessor, the Oura Ring 4, making it more compact for everyday use.
The Oura Ring 5 is priced at Rs 39,900 for the Silver and Black finishes. The Gold, Deep Rose, Stealth and Brushed Silver variants are priced at Rs 50,900. The smart ring is available in sizes 6 to 13, with pre-orders opening on October 22 through Amazon and Croma. Buyers should check their size carefully, as the sizing system differs from that of the previous-generation ring.
Built with titanium, the ring measures 6.09mm in width and 2.28mm in thickness, with its weight starting at around 2 grams depending on size. It carries an IP68 rating and is water-resistant up to 100 metres. Oura claims the battery can last between six and nine days on a single charge, depending on the ring's size, settings and usage. The device is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and connects to the Oura app for detailed health insights.

The ring tracks sleep patterns, daily activity, heart rate, heart rate variability, body-temperature trends and recovery. Its Health Radar feature analyses biometric signals to identify changes in health patterns, while Nighttime Breathing monitors breathing patterns during sleep. The Blood Pressure Signals feature examines overnight cardiovascular patterns that may be associated with rising blood pressure, but it does not directly measure blood pressure or replace a conventional blood pressure monitor.
Oura has also introduced AI-powered wellness guidance through Oura Advisor, alongside live activity tracking and additional health-related insights. These tools are designed to help users understand changes in their daily habits and long-term health trends. However, the ring is not a substitute for professional medical assessment, and its measurements are not intended to diagnose health conditions independently.
Access to the ring's full range of health insights requires an Oura Membership, which costs Rs 599 per month in India, including taxes. This recurring fee adds to the initial purchase price, making the device a premium option in the smart-ring category. With its smaller design, extended battery life and expanded monitoring capabilities, the Oura Ring 5 targets users seeking continuous health tracking, although buyers will need to consider both the hardware cost and ongoing subscription expense.
