At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, Motorola showcased groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence through the introduction of Qira, a comprehensive unified AI platform designed to harmonise and elevate user experiences across the entire range of devices produced by both Motorola and its parent company Lenovo.
Qira effectively merges the previously fragmented AI ecosystems—Lenovo's AI Now and Motorola's moto AI—into a singular, cohesive framework that enables seamless continuity of context, ongoing conversations, task progress, and personalised preferences as users transition between smartphones, foldables, tablets, laptops, and other interconnected hardware within the brand portfolio.
The platform's robust architecture incorporates strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Microsoft Copilot, Google, Qualcomm, Intel, and Perplexity AI, blending advanced on-device processing for privacy and speed with selective cloud integration to deliver intelligent, anticipatory assistance that adapts fluidly to individual user patterns and needs.

In a bold expansion into ambient computing, Motorola's innovative 312 Labs division unveiled Project Maxwell: AI Perceptive Companion, an experimental wearable prototype resembling a smart pin that extends Qira's capabilities directly into daily life through embedded cameras, microphones, and sensors for real-time multimodal perception, contextual awareness, and proactive natural-language interactions independent of a smartphone.
Complementing these AI-focused revelations, Motorola also premiered its inaugural book-style foldable smartphone, the razr fold, featuring an expansive inner display optimised for multitasking and productivity, signalling the company's ambitious push beyond its established flip-form razr series into the premium large-screen foldable segment.
