In a remarkable display of skill, India’s Mansi Raghuwanshi and Yashasvi Rathore clinched gold and silver, respectively, in the women’s junior skeet competition at the Asian Shooting Championship in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, on August 21, 2025.
Mansi topped the final with an impressive score of 53, edging out Yashasvi, who scored 52 to secure silver, while Kazakhstan’s Lidiya Basharova took bronze with 40. India’s Agrima Kanwar, also in the final, finished sixth with a score of 15.
Mansi qualified for the final in second place with a score of 106 across five rounds, just behind Basharova’s leading 112. Yashasvi and Agrima secured their final spots with qualifying scores of 102 and 101, respectively. The Indian women’s dominance underscored their precision and consistency, marking a significant achievement for the nation’s shooting contingent.
On the men’s side, India continued to shine as Ishaan Singh Libra (116), Harmehar Singh Lally (115), and Jyotiraditya Singh Sisodiya (110) qualified for the junior skeet final in first, third, and fifth positions, respectively.
The performances signal India’s growing prowess in junior shooting, with the men’s team poised to add to the medal tally, reinforcing the nation’s reputation as a rising force in the sport.
