Speaking after her win, Esha admitted the final was far from easy despite the record-breaking outcome. She said she was overwhelmed by nerves during the competition, describing moments where she could feel her hand shaking. “I wasn’t calm at all… I had a lot of nerves, but in our sport you have to face it and embrace it,” she said, adding that focusing on her process helped her deliver under pressure.
In qualification, Esha shot a total of 587, combining a 294 in the rapid-fire stage with 293 in precision to qualify fourth for the final. She started strongly in the medal round with consecutive perfect series, quickly establishing control over the field. Even after a minor miss in the fourth series, she maintained a comfortable lead heading into the closing stages.
Esha ultimately finished with a record-breaking score of 43, surpassing the previous senior world record of 42 set by Kim Yeji in Baku. She also eclipsed the junior world record of 41 held by Yang Jiin, sealing a historic achievement that highlighted her composure under pressure and rising stature in international shooting.
